the full moon
Waves of cloud, rippled
like a Shar-pei, curled
like a bay around a moon, full
like a golden hole
bored into the darkness
of twilight.
For a moment,
the waves shine
in browns and whites
and light vanishes in ink,
signalling words' end
in the wisp of a sigh.
